TREEPLAY

"Take your time"
These three little words are the same as
I love you
I’m right here
There is room
It’s okay
You got this
This is the point
You’re worth it
There is no rush
This collection kept me in the color palette of nature - browns in reference to the dark, damp, and earthy soil or the sturdy, loyal trees. The greens in reference to the depth of the leaves and how unique they are once matured after each budding season. I found myself drawing circles and blobs to nod to the cyclical patterns of trees such as the organic roundness of a trunk. All of these colors, patterns, and glazes ooze together and are harmoniously coordinating as they create the dance of what is found in nature - all here for you to BE in. Truly all my work is inspired by nature and the oddness in it.
I hope this inspires even the tiniest thought of slowness, where and when you can take it. Joy and how to tap into it is a lifelong practice. It takes time to enjoy joy. So in addition to every book, podcast, or guru that sheds glimmers of light on how to be in the moment, here are some mugs to accompany you on the journey. Special thanks to the inspiration for this collection being the people around a busy city, in their busy lives, who manage to take the time to be with themselves. Finding peace through a slower walk, a longer hug, or a lingering moment under a tree - taking their time. Playing in the trees or noticing the trees play.
